Following the introduction of the 160 Duke earlier this year, KTM has expanded its Indian portfolio with the launch of the fully-faired RC 160. Positioned below the RC 200 and RC 390, the new RC 160 now serves as the most accessible model in KTM’s supersport range for India.
Powering the RC 160 is the same 164.2cc, liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine found on the 160 Duke. Output figures remain unchanged at 19hp at 9,500rpm and 15.5Nm at 7,500rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission and comes equipped with an assist-and-slipper clutch as standard. According to KTM, the motorcycle can achieve a top speed of 118kph.
The suspension setup consists of a 37mm upside-down front fork and a rear monoshock. Tyre sizes and wheels are shared with the 160 Duke as well, with a 110-section front and a 140-section rear tyre mounted on 17-inch alloy wheels. Braking hardware is also carried over, featuring a 320mm front disc and a 230mm rear disc, supported by dual-channel ABS with a Supermoto mode.
In terms of features, the RC 160 comes with full LED lighting across the headlamp, tail-lamp and indicators, along with an LCD instrument console.
