
Ducati has expanded its single-cylinder Hypermotard range overseas with the new 698 Mono Nera.

The “Nera” treatment gives the motorcycle an all-black appearance contrasted by Ducati Red wheels and frame.

Powering the Hypermotard 698 Mono Nera is Ducati’s 659cc Superquadro Mono single-cylinder engine, which produces 77.5hp and revs to 10,250rpm.

The bike also gets homologated Termignoni silencers with black-finished end cans and red detailing.

Ducati says the Hypermotard 698 Mono weighs 151kg ready-to-ride without fuel.

The Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono Nera is the latest addition to Ducati’s single-cylinder Hypermotard lineup. The ‘Nera’ treatment gives the motorcycle an almost entirely blacked-out appearance, contrasted by Ducati Red wheels and frame. It also gets homologated Termignoni silencers featuring black-finished end cans with red detailing. Compared to the standard Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono, the Nera additionally gets Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) bidirectional quickshifter as standard equipment.
Underneath, the motorcycle retains the same 659cc Superquadro Mono single-cylinder engine – derived from the twin-cylinder unit used in the Ducati 1299 Panigale – producing 77.5hp and featuring Ducati’s Desmodromic valve timing system. The bike weighs 151kg ready-to-ride without fuel. The electronics package includes cornering ABS with Slide-by-Brake functionality, traction control, wheelie control, engine brake control, launch control, and multiple riding modes.
