I own a Hyundai i20 Sportz and recently I have been experiencing some problems with my car. When I release the clutch after changing gears, the RPM needle shoots upto 2000. As I understand, if the throttle is not pressed the RPM shouldn’t go up. Can you help me understand what exactly the problem with the car is?

AAA To answer your question, a possible reason why your i20 has an erratic idle is because the idle speed sensor is malfunctioning and it needs
to be removed and cleaned. We checked with a Hyundai workshop engineer — he recommended a proper tune-up at an authorised workshop, after which this particular problem
you are facing should be resolved.
