I am looking to buy a scooter for my wife within Rs 1 lakh. It should ideally be easy to ride, reliable and decently fuel efficient, and I’m not that interested in features or aggressive styling. Which scooter should I go for?

Dev Shah, Ahmedabad

Autocar India says: Based on your considerations, we would recommend either the Suzuki Access 125 or the Honda Activa 125. Both scooters are easy to ride, quite fuel efficient, and being Japanese, are reliable too. However, we recommend the Access 125 over the Activa 125, because despite offering good performance, it still manages to be one of the most efficient scooters on sale. The Access is the leader in the 125cc segment sales wise and has a good reputation in the industry, so resale value will be good. Finally, if you compare the standard disc brake versions, the Suzuki costs less as well. We recommend that you avoid the drum brake models and pay for the stronger and more consistent braking performance from the model with the front disc brake.

Coaches first demonstrate the correct technique for the students and then follow them individually to see if the lesson is being implemented correctly.

There were six sessions per day over the two-day event. Lessons were taught in the pitlane and then you’d get to practise them on track.
