    Sports bikes have long been objects of desire in India. Even though the country is the largest two-wheeler market in the world, it is dominated by commuter bikes. Sports bikes have been few and far between. In recent times, however, the market demand and product portfolio for sports bikes     has been catching on. As a result, it is also now easy to get bike insurance for these models as well. Most Indian and foreign manufacturers  now sell their sports bike models here as the market matures and grows at a remarkable pace.

    • Ninja 300 by Kawasaki  packs in a deep and rich lineage from a globally renowned bike manufacturer. The Ninja line-up of bikes is also among the most beloved in the world of sports bikes     . The Indian Ninja 300 model comes with a high revving 298cc parallel twin engine and is priced at around Rs      3.18 lakh      ex-showroom.
    • Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is a popular sports bike for Indian enthusiasts. The RS200      is currently their top of the line model in the Pulsar range and has a sporty persuasion. Priced at      around Rs      1.63 lakh     , the bike is the perfect choice for an engine like this     .
    • Yamaha YZF R15 V4 is the fourth iteration of the company’s R15 model and is one of the first true sports     bikes in the country. With a 155cc engine, superbike style and a price of about Rs      1.5 lakh, this is      one of the best choices for those looking to get into the world of sporty motorcycles.
    • KTM RC200 is another affordable sports bike available in the market     . It is a 200cc motorcycle that comes      at Rs 2.09 lakh     . The bike recently received a huge      update with      new styling      and additional features.
