Despite adding more features, Mahindra has reduced the Bolero Neo’s prices by Rs 25,000 to Rs 50,000. Notably, the top-spec Bolero Neo N11 is Rs 50,000 cheaper than the trim level below it, the N10(O), which is the only one to come with Mahindra’s Multi Terrain Technology (MTT), featuring a locking differential setup for enhanced traction over broken roads.

Under the hood, the Bolero Neo has a 100hp, 260Nm 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine (mHawk100). Transmission duties are handled by a 5-speed manual, which sends drive to the rear wheels only. A petrol engine is not offered with the Neo.

Only a few carmakers in India offer rugged ladder-on-frame SUVs under four metres long, and the list shrinks further if you’re looking for a 7-seater. The Mahindra Bolero Neo fits squarely in that niche and further stands out with hardware like a locking differential. As we noted in our pre-facelift Bolero Neo review, this aids in low-traction or sticky situations by sending power to the wheel with more grip, resulting in an enhanced overall road grip at low and crawling speeds. Also, Mahindra has equipped the 2025 Bolero Neo with the frequency-dependent damping tech, which it claims improves ride comfort over bad roads.
If you drive over bad road patches frequently, the Bolero Neo N10(O) with the locking differential setup can be a practical pick. For those looking for a decently feature-equipped 7-seat SUV, the N10 trim with goodies like a 9-inch touchscreen, cruise control, a height-adjustable driver’s seat and a rearview camera can be considered.
