Follow usThe Suzuki Burgman has been around for quite some time. It kickstarted the pseudo maxi-scooter format in India. It has been received very well in our markets, due to its spacious seat and road presence compared to conventional scooters.
The Suzuki Burgman is largely divided into two variants: Burgman Street and Burgman Street EX. The main difference between the two is down to the latter getting a larger 12-inch wheel at the rear and weighing 1kg more (111kg); the Street model gets 10 inchers.
The Street model is further divided into two sub-variants – Standard Edition and Ride Connect, where the latter gets a Bluetooth-enabled LCD dash.
The Suzuki Burgman Street is priced between Rs 96,399 and Rs 1.01 lakh. The higher-spec Burgman EX is priced at Rs 1.18 lakh.
The last time we tested the Burgman Street EX in 2023, it returned a real-world fuel-efficiency figure of 62.6kpl on the highway, which dropped slightly to 60kpl in the city.
The Burgman Street, despite being the lower-spec model is offered with a larger palette of colours – white, black, grey, beige, green and blue. The blue colour is reserved for the Ride connect variant.
Despite being the more expensive model, the Burgman Street EX is available only with three colour options – black, beige and blue.
Yes, as per Suzuki’s website both the Burgman Street and Street EX are E20 compliant.
Yes, in addition to silent-start, an auto-start stop system is also available with the Burgman. This essentially turns off the engine when the vehicle comes to a standstill. However, this feature is only available on the more-expensive Street EX variant.
