Follow usVietnamese electric vehicle brand Vinfast has started its India innings with the VF6 and VF7, the latter serving as its flagship model here. So what does the Vinfast VF7 really offer in terms of features, and how does it stack up on range and pricing? We have broken it all down in this feature, answering the seven most frequently asked questions about the all-new VF7.
Vinfast India announced the VF7’s introductory prices in September 2025, ranging from Rs 20.89 lakh to Rs 25.49 lakh, ex-showroom. The aggressive pricing makes the VF7 significantly more affordable than popular EVs such as the Mahindra XEV 9e (Rs 21.90 lakh-31.25 lakh) and the Tata Harrier (Rs 21.49 lakh-30.23 lakh).
The Vinfast VF7 on-road price in Delhi is estimated between Rs 22.16 lakh and Rs 27.16 lakh. In Mumbai, the VF7 may cost between Rs 22.12 lakh and Rs 27.13 lakh. Note that under the new GST rates on cars, the existing 5 percent tax on EVs remains unchanged.

As seen in the table above, the VF7 EV comes in a total of five core trim levels – Earth, Wind, Wind Infinity, Sky and Sky Infinity. The mid-spec VF7 Wind and Wind Infinity trims have the highest range of 532km, certified by the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI). Next are the top-spec Sky and Sky Infinity trims with 510km, followed by the base-spec Earth variant with 438km.
At the Vinfast VF7 launch in India, the brand announced free charging at its official V-Green stations until July 2028 and free maintenance for 3 years to widen the EV's appeal. Additionally, the VF7 comes with a 10-year/2,00,000km warranty for both the car and the battery.
While reviewing the dual-motor Vinfast VF7, which has a claimed 0-100kph time of just 5.8 seconds, the electric vehicle felt really fast, even breaking traction and spinning its wheels under hard acceleration at low speeds. However, the urgency in power delivery starts to fade around 120kph. The VF7 is manageable at low speeds, making it a suitable EV for runabouts in the city as well. We are yet to sample the single motor, front-wheel drive variants of the VF7.
When it comes to interior features, the VF7 has a lot on offer right from the base trim. Goodies like a head-up display, a 12.9-inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay and dual-zone climate control are standard. Even safety features like 7 airbags, ABS with EBD, electric parking brake, all 4 disc brakes, and traction control are available across the VF7 trims.

Note that the VF7 has no frunk, and its ground clearance is lesser than the XEV 9e.
