The Honda Dio 110 is the company’s most affordable scooter in India and is based on the same architecture as the hugely popular Activa 110 but comes with more youthful styling. The Dio 110 is offered in two variants with the main separating factor being the features on offer. Here we’ll break down what each variant has to offer as well as its price.

Standard
Before we elaborate on the differences between the two variants, we’ll quickly recap the similarities. Both variants of the Dio 110 are powered by the very familiar 109.5cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine making 8hp and 9Nm of torque and use the same basic chassis. Key dimensions like the light 106kg kerb weight, low 765mm seat height and 5.3 litre fuel tank capacity are common across both variants. Both variants are offered in the same five colour options - red, blue, grey, white and dark grey.
Where the base variant differs from the higher one is that it uses a simple negative LCD display, has a halogen headlight and it doesn’t come standard with a USB charging port near the cubby on the front apron, although Honda will sell you one for it optionally. Happily, this variant continues to come with Honda’s responsive start/stop fuel-saving tech which is great considering the very digestible Rs 70,309 asking price
DLX
The DLX variant brings in some feel-good features, although the core fundamentals stay the same. Here, you’ll get a LED headlight, a smart-looking colour TFT display (sans Bluetooth connectivity) and a USB-C charging port above the storage cubby on the front apron. However, at Rs 82,362, the DLX variant is Rs 12,000 dearer than the base for just some added features and no mechanical improvements, which seems like a miss.
