Will the new Innova Hycross hybrid be as fuel efficient as the Innova Crysta diesel?

Autocar India says: Toyota hybrids, in general, are extremely fuel efficient. Not only do they get a full EV mode, but even their petrol engine runs the more efficient Atkinson cycle, thus keeping a check on consumption. While we can't give you a definitive answer till we put it through our real world tests, we're confident that the Innova Hycross hybrid will most likely be far more efficient than the diesel.
