A good diesel mid-sized sedan

I’m in the market for a new diesel sedan, with low maintenance and service costs being my key criteria. I drive around 50km a day. I can’t decide between the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and Honda City. Please advice.

AAA The Honda City diesel is a bit nicer to drive and has fantastic seats. However, given your requirements, the Maruti Ciaz diesel, which is easier on the pocket in all respects, is a better deal. Maruti has a fantastic reputation for low cost of ownership and the Ciaz is no exception to this rule.
