I am planning to buy my first EV, but I am confused between the BMW iX1 and BYD Sealion 7. Can you suggest which car is better in terms of comfort and technology?

The BMW iX1 is a solid luxury EV and does exactly what you would expect from the brand. It offers a premium cabin, good rear seat space and a polished ownership experience. But as an EV package, it feels more conservative and less exciting than the BYD.
The Sealion 7 feels like the more ambitious product. The cabin technology is richer, the battery pack is significantly larger, the range is stronger, and overall, it feels like a more modern and more complete EV. In terms of sheer EV sophistication, it has the edge.
On comfort, it depends on what you value. The BMW has the softer, more traditional luxury car ride, especially at lower speeds. The BYD feels more spacious and more special inside, but the ride is firmer over sharper bumps.

As a byd sealion 7 owner I find it the best ev for the buck better than the x1 as the cabin feels so much richer than the x1 plus if you plan to drive it as well the ride is a little stiff but is pure joy

The Kia EV6 is a strong contender in that price range.

I don't know if anyone else has suggested this, but do check out the Mercedes Benz CLA EV. Amazing range and all things Merc in it. Suggesting this, considering your budget is hovering around the 50-55L range. Personally, I drive a Mahindra XEV 9E and I am extremely pleased with its range, performance, comfort and features!

The car is cramped and not very comfortable, especially for passengers taller than 5'10" sitting in the back.

I choose BMW over BYD, because BMW offered me the buy back plan. Which is very important in EV cars.

I want to ev for about forty to forty five lakhs which is the best buy for comfort and money value

Bmw is the brand value. The best beamers start with 5 series upwards and with M badge from 3 series. Its hard but the fact is that Chinese make the best battries and product now. So hands down for BYD sealion 7 wien its an EV. .s.dont fall for branding.

1. BMW is one of the best in the world. 2. Having purchased a car, you will need service facilities in different places. BMW has reasonably good service facilities in the country. 3. If you are already using a high-end car, like BMW or Merc, going for further advanced tech car is justified. Else, ..... I say this because tech has cost. We should be conversant with technologically advanced machine then only when we actually use and maneuver the tech. 4. Google shall exactly tell you technologies of BMW & BYD EVs along with the comparison, pros & cons.

I have a Grand Vitara Strong Hybrid, and I am extremely satisfied with its mileage (900-1000 km from 45 liters). However, I am losing the joy of driving. I migrated to this car after owning a Swift Dzire Diesel and an XL6. The mismatch between engine revs and acceleration is becoming unpleasant. Overtaking feels riskier, and even the brakes feel spongy. I have experienced a few unpleasant situations because of this. As a result, I have reduced my overall speed, making the safety of my family a bigger priority. But the driver in me is unhappy. Should I upgrade to the Duster Hybrid, the Hycross Hybrid, or the newly launched Sierra EV? Also, do diesel engines still make sense today?

From what you've described, the Grand Vitara Strong Hybrid has impressed you with its efficiency but left you wanting more from behind the wheel. If driving enjoyment is back on your priority list, the Duster Hybrid looks like the most natural upgrade. It is expected to offer a much more engaging driving experience while retaining the fuel efficiency benefits of a strong hybrid. The Toyota Innova HyCross Hybrid will certainly improve on comfort, refinement and performance, but it won't fundamentally change the character you're looking for. It is still geared towards relaxed family motoring rather than enthusiastic driving. The Tata Sierra EV is an interesting option and has now been launched. It promises strong performance, a premium cabin and a spacious interior. However, if the "driver in you" misses the involvement and confidence of your earlier diesel cars, we'd still wait to experience how the Duster Hybrid drives before making a decision. As for diesels, we don't think they should be ruled out altogether. With the right usage, they continue to make sense. However, given your appreciation for the fuel economy of your Grand Vitara and the direction the market is heading, we'd lean towards a strong hybrid rather than going back to diesel.
