India Speed Week 2017 – Round 2 Results

Round 2 of the India Speed Week kicked off at the Jakkur Aerodrome in Bengaluru, on December 8, 2017.

Blasting down the quarter-mile run in a time of 13.240sec, Jeevan Cheng Appa took home the trophy for Fastest Indian Car. Meanwhile, the Fastest Indian Bike trophy went to Iqbal Shaikh, riding a Yamaha RD 350, clocking in at 12.706sec.

In the Foreign Car category, Mandava Chowdary locked down the fastest time of 12.417sec in an Audi RS 7. The Fastest Foreign Bike category was won by Alimon, astride a Kawasaki Ninja H2, with a time of 10.689sec – which was also the fastest time of the event.

Consisting of three rounds, the 2017 India Speed Week Drag Race Cup is divided into four categories – Indian bikes, Indian cars, foreign bikes and foreign cars. The races follow a quarter-mile (402.336m) format, wherein the car or motorcycle that is the quickest to cover the distance is declared the winner in a given category.

The first round of the series took place at Aamby Valley, earlier this year under the ‘Valley Run’ banner and registered over 600 entries.
