F1 2009 season was a mix of negatives and positives that made it a dramatic year with all the scandal, cheating and court cases. It was an eventful season with high magnitude crashes that saw Felipe crash out at the Hungarian GP not to return for the rest of the season, Glock was left out with cracked vertebrae at Suzuka and rookie Alguersuari crashing big time at the same track.

It was a year that saw Brawn GP in its debut season winning both the titles. Jenson Button won the drivers’ title after scoring eight podiums in 2009, one fewer than in 2004. For the first time since 1993 Ferrari failed to score a pole. A season where Schumi almost made a comeback. A season that gave Team Force India its maiden pole and podium at Spa.

2009 season saw the last of Flavio Briatore after he was sacked by Renault for his involvement in the crash-gate incident. McLaren was once again involved in a scandal - liargate scandal that resulted in the sacking of their former sporting director, Dave Ryan.

We have had an action packed year and there are many such incidents that require a mention out here. As a result, we have selected the best images from 2009 and it would be fitting to let the pictures do all the talking. Check out the image gallery for all the action from 2009.
