Goodyear has announced that it will now be manufacturing its Eagle F1 GSD3 tyres in India.

The company aims to enhance its passenger tyre portfolio with the launch of this range of tyres. Goodyear claims that it will target young and sporty consumers who are passionate about style and want more performance from their aftermarket-tuned sportscars and performance sedans.

The tyre features Goodyear’s patented V-TRED technology that enables exceptional traction and handling, in both wet and dry road surface conditions.

Speaking about the tyre, DP Singh, vice president, consumer business of Goodyear India Ltd., said, The introduction of Eagle F1 GSD3 tyres is a result of in-depth research on the current mindset and needs of the young or young-at-heart Indian consumers with mid-segment cars. Such drivers aspire to own a sporty performance vehicle, and will accessorize and modify their existing cars to give them those attributes.”

The Eagle F1 GSD3 tyres will be offered in four sizes, and will cater to mid-segment cars like the Maruti Swift, Maruti Ritz, Maruti Dzire, Hyundai i10, Hyundai i20, and Honda City. The company plans to launch the Eagle F1 GSD3’s successor, Eagle F1 Directional 5, later this year.
