Vinfast V-Green charging program in India
The V-Green charging network in india is supported by local brands.
Since its arrival in India, Vinfast has been trying to offer more charging outlets for its customers as part of its V-Green program, which is Vinfast’s own charging network – similar to Tesla's Supercharger. The extended free charging program can be accessed by both private and commercial owners. Back in December 2025, Vinfast announced a partnership with RoadGrid for establishing fast charging stations, especially at locations that are likely to witness higher demand for such facilities. This collaboration with RoadGrid also included charging outlets operated by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), extending accessibility to fast chargers for Vinfast customers.
Considering its expertise on the Indian market, RoadGrid was tasked with identifying suitable locations for establishing charging stations alongside supporting maintenance activities and on-ground operations across the network. On the other hand, Vinfast’s responsibilities included managing the overall charging ecosystem while also handling software integration and ownership of each outlet. Prior to this collaboration, RoadGrid had earlier signed an MoU with Vinfast to help it set-up 120 service workshops across India. While Vinfast operates about 150,000 charging ports in its homeland of Vietnam, there is less clarity on the exact number of their operational charging outlets in India.
Speaking on the occasion was Ms. Duong Thi Thu Trang, Deputy CEO of Global Sales, VinFast, stating, "VinFast’s initial free charging policy received strong support from consumers, both in Vietnam and in international markets where VinFast operates. Extending this policy for another three years is the next step in our strategy to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles. VinFast believes that when operating costs are optimized to nearly zero, consumers will have greater confidence and motivation to switch to green mobility, while also contributing to the greening of transportation systems in these countries.”
Vinfast models in India
Vinfast’s India line-up currently consists of the VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs, with both the models being launched simultaneously on September 6, 2025. The brand’s V-Green charging program is also offered to customers in Indonesia and the Philippines. Finally, from March 11-March 31, 2026, Vinfast’s parent company, Vingroup, is offering Indian customers its ‘Trade Gas for Electric’ program. Under this program, customers exchanging a combustion-powered car for a Vinfast EV will be offered a discount of 3 percent, on top of other exchange benefits.
