Maserati Grecale
The Maserati Grecale is a luxury SUV that combines Italian styling with a driver-focused character. The facelifted range is available in five variants, starting with the 300PS Grecale and extending to the 530PS Trofeo V6. Petrol options include a 2.0-litre four-cylinder mild-hybrid engine and a 3.0-litre Nettuno V6, with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive across the petrol range.
The biggest mechanical change is the introduction of the 390PS Nettuno V6 in the new Modena V6 variant. The facelift also brings a redesigned front end, a revised digital clock, a new steering wheel and updated gear selector controls.

Grecale Road Test Findings
What we liked
- The new 390PS Nettuno V6 is a natural fit for the Grecale, with readily available power, a strong mid-range and an appealing engine and exhaust note.
- Handling is a highlight, with crisp responses that give the SUV an engaging character through corners.
- The cabin combines rich leather upholstery, stitched dashboard detailing and modern screens without losing its Italian character.
- The front seats are supportive, while rear passengers get good kneeroom and headroom.
- The steering-mounted aluminium paddle shifters have a satisfying feel and add to the driving experience.
What we did not like
- The suspension allows road imperfections to filter into the cabin, even in the more comfort-oriented settings.
- Some of the interior plastics feel ordinary for an SUV at this price.
- The rear-seat backrest is not reclinable, which limits comfort on longer journeys.
- Buyers looking primarily for chauffeur-driven comfort may find more suitable alternatives in larger luxury SUVs.
Who should buy the Grecale?
Based on our review, the Grecale suits buyers who value driving involvement and distinctive styling alongside luxury.
Buyer type | Why it fits |
If you enjoy driving yourself | The 390PS V6 Modena offers a strong engine, responsive paddle shifters and engaging handling. |
If you want a distinctive luxury SUV | The Italian styling, prominent Trident grille and extensive personalisation options help it stand apart. |
If cabin finish matters | Leather upholstery, stitched dashboard detailing and updated controls give the interior a handcrafted character. |
If you want a more powerful alternative to the entry model | The Modena V6 bridges the gap between the 330PS mild-hybrid Modena and the 530PS Trofeo. |
If performance is the priority | The Trofeo V6 produces 530PS and can accelerate from 0-100kph in a claimed 3.8 seconds. |
The Grecale is less suited to buyers who prioritise a soft, isolated ride or chauffeur-focused rear-seat comfort over driving involvement.

Maserati Grecale Mileage
Maserati Grecale petrol mileage varies with the engine and variant. The 2.0-litre mild-hybrid versions were previously listed with ARAI-certified figures of 10.87 kpl for the 300PS version and 10.75 kpl for the 330PS Modena. The 3.0-litre V6 Trofeo is listed at 8.85kpl.
The facelift adds a 390PS Nettuno V6 to the Modena range, but the available Indian specifications do not include a separate certified mileage figure for this new version. Buyers considering the new V6 should therefore not assume that it will match the older 330PS Modena's certified figure.
Actual petrol mileage will vary with driving conditions, traffic, driving style and the use of the available performance.
