Toyota has recalled close to a thousand diesel Corolla Altis’s made between August 3, 2012 and February, 2013.

The company claims that there could be a possible problem with the driveshaft and that it has only been observed in a “few cases”. Toyota, however, will either repair the driveshaft or replace it completely as a precautionary measure free of charge.

Toyota’s recall on the Corolla Altis follows Nissan’s Micra and Sunny recall because of a problem with the master brake cylinder.
