At the Auto Expo last year, Tata had shown a more hardcore version of the Hexa, badged as the Hexa Tuff concept. Now, as per an accessories brochure that has made its way online, the automaker is expected to offer the Hexa Tuff as an add-on kit for prospective customers.

As part of the Hexa Tuff kit, Tata is expected to offer the Hexa with additional body cladding, a roof box, a wireless charger with tray in the front centre armrest, heads-up display, tyre pressure monitoring system and car mats. As per the accessories brochure, the total kit is expected to add about Rs 1.3 lakh to the price of the vehicle.

A second kit, likely to be offered as an Expedition kit, will appeal to people who prefer outdoor activities. The kit adds in a roof platform with an LED light bar, a foldable roof-mounted canopy, puddle lamps, a waterproof luggage bag and a shovel.

Tata is also likely to offer a more glamorous Luxe kit that that will add more flash value to the Hexa with the addition of trim bits across the car’s exterior such as inserts in the light clusters and on the side mouldings, chromed door handles and an illuminated front logo. Inside the cabin, the kit is expected to add in a wireless charging pad, a chiller box and puddle lamps.

Apart from the kits, Tata is also expected to offer the above accessories as stand-alone add-ons, along with others such as the choice of leather seat upholstery, tyre repair kit, cycle carrier and infotainment components such as amplifiers and subwoofers.

Tata is set to launch the Hexa on January 18, with bookings for the premium crossover currently open at Tata dealerships across the country. The car will be powered by Tata’s 2.2-litre Varicor diesel engine in two states of tune, paired to a choice of manual or automatic gearbox, depending on the engine. Expect prices to start from around Rs 12.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
