British luxury carmaker Rolls-Royce is set to introduce its second convertible model, the Dawn, in India on June 24 ,2016. The soft-top convertible shares its underpinnings with the Wraith coupé that's already on sale, though the manufacturer says that 80 percent of the car’s bodywork has been redesigned.

Powering the massive 2,560kg vehicle is the Wraith's 570hp, 6.6-litre V12 engine paired to a ZF eight-speed automatic gearbox which is linked to the car’s satellite navigation system to pre-select gears for the road ahead.

The Dawn gets a revised suspension and stiffened body to provide the four-seater convertible with the company’s popular ‘magic carpet’ ride.

The soft-top roof can be operated at speeds of up to 48kph with the roof retracting in 21 seconds. Rolls-Royce says that with the roof up, the cabin of the convertible is just as quiet as the coupé. This will make the Dawn the quietest convertible on sale.

The Dawn will be positioned below the Phantom Drophead coupé and alongside the Wraith.
