Porsche has unveiled the final iteration of its 997 series of its flagship 911 model range, called the 911 GT3 Rs 4.0.

There are special lateral front air deflection vanes, which according to Porsche known as “flics” are used for the first time on a production model Porsche.

The 911 GT3 RS 4.0 is painted in white and has trademark racing characteristics such as the wide track, the low vehicle position, the large rear wing with adapted side plates, the typical central twin tailpipe and the aerodynamically optimised body, the lateral front air deflection vanes, so-called flics, making their first appearance on a production Porsche.

The 911 GT3 RS comes with a 4.0-liter flat six motor churning out 500 bhp at 8,250rpm and torque of 46.9 kgm. It weights approximately only 1,400kg thanks to a host of weight-saving measures such as light-weight carpet and use of carbon fiber.

All the above mentioned weight-saving measures result in a 0-100kph time of 3.9 seconds and a 0-200kph time of under 12 seconds and a lap time of 7.27 at the famous Nürburgring circuit.

The 911 GT3 RS 4.0 has a limited production run of 600 units worldwide.
