The Pininfarina Sergio concept, showcased at the Geneva motor show 2013, is all set to go into production. Based on Ferrari 458 Spider's mechanicals, only six units of the Pininfarina Sergio will be produced in collaboration with Ferrari.

Power comes from a 562bhp 4.5-litre naturally-aspirated V8, like the 458. Official performance figures haven't been released, but the car's expected to be capable of 0-100kph in under 3.4 seconds. The Sergio’s chassis is stiffer than that of the 458 Spider, and this makes it lighter by around 150kg, putting the Pininfarina at about 1,280kg. This allows good handling and improved acceleration.

The concept was originally created as a tribute to Sergio Pininfarina, the founder of the famed styling house, who passed away in 2012.
