Nissan appoints deputy president for India operations

Nissan has announced the appointment of Guillaume Sicard as its Deputy President, Nissan India Operations. His appointment will be effective July 1, this year and he will report to President Nissan India Operations, Kenichiro Yomura.

Sicard is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Renault Turkey (MAIS). He’d joined Renault in 1992 where he has held several leadership positions in sales and marketing.

In his role at Nissan, Sicard will be incharge of strategic decision making and streamlining operational efficiency to help the company achieve its objectives in the country.

"This appointment supports the recently announced changes to our India operations and will enable us to continue delivering strong results and growth towards achievement of the Nissan Power 88 mid-term plan. The Nissan India team is continuing to strengthen its focus on ensuring high product quality and customer satisfaction, while improving both brand and product value with our dealer network," said Kenichiro Yomura.

In another announcement, the carmaker said it has opened the doors of its sales and marketing headquarters in Mumbai. The 17,000 sqft facility will be made into a hub for all its sales, marketing and dealer management activities. The facility currently houses sales and marketing for both Nissan and Datsun brands
