Nissan signs eight-year sponsorship deal with ICC
The agreement with Nissan will run through 2023 and include global tournaments such as ICC Cricket World Cup and World Twenty20.

Nissan has signed an agreement with the International Cricket Council (ICC) to become the global sponsor of cricket international tournaments for a term of eight years.
The agreement, which runs through 2023, confirms the Japanese brand as a global sponsor for ICC’s international tournaments which will include events such as the ICC Cricket World Cup, the ICC Champions Trophy and the ICC World Twenty20 along with other major cricketing events in the Under- 19 and Women’s cricket categories. The agreement covers qualifier events and tournaments as well.
As part of the agreement, Nissan will get extensive in-venue activation, broadcast and digital rights at all ICC events.
Commenting on the agreement, David Richardson, CEO of ICC said, “Nissan is one of the world’s leading motor companies and boasts a strong international presence in both new and established markets. Nissan’s values are closely aligned to those of the ICC, to be innovative, with a strong focus on delivering exciting and unique experiences for our fans and stakeholders”. He also stated that the ICC was “delighted” to have the company as a global partner and looked forward to working together for the next eight years.
Nissan’s global sponsorships and partnerships now include the UEFA Champions League, the Rio 2016 Olympics and Paralympics, the Olympic teams of Great Britain, Mexico and Brazil, the National Collegiate Athletic Association, the Heisman Trophy, City Football Group and GT-R brand ambassador Usain Bolt.
