Mercedes-Benz has launched the GL 63 AMG at a price of Rs 1.66 crore (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The seven-seat GL 63 AMG weighs in at a hefty 2.5 tonnes.
This AMG version of the GL SUV is powered by a 5.5-litre biturbo V8 engine that develops power in the region of 550bhp and comes mated to a seven-speed 7G-Tronic automatic gearbox that sends power to all four wheels (40/60 front-rear bias). The carmaker claims a 0-100kph sprint time of 4.9seconds and has limited the top speed to 250kph. Suspension is via an ‘AMG ride control’ package of adaptive, self-levelling air suspension and active anti roll-bars.
The Mercedes-Benz GL 63 AMG will be brought in as a fully imported model.
