Maruti rolls out ten millionth car

Maruti Suzuki has made history by rolling out its 10 millionth car. With this milestone, the manufacturer becomes the only one in India to achieve this number and enter a group of few others across the globe. The 10 millionth Maruti, a WagonR in a Metallic Breeze Blue shade, was rolled out from Maruti’s Gurgaon plant.

Maruti’s range currently includes as many as 16 different models on offer for the Indian market. Its first offering, the Maruti 800, was handed over to its first customer in 1983.  While most of the range is manufactured in India, the company imports its Kizashi saloon and Grand Vitara SUV as completely built units from Suzuki Motor Corp. Japan.
