The calendar adds two new Great Escape events, in Nagpur and Chennai, taking the total number to 10. This is an event that has proved extremely popular with off-roaders across India. The winners from all participating cities will get a chance to compete in the Mahindra Adventure Off-Roading trophy as well.
Another new addition to the calendar is the Super South Drive – a multi-day Escape event, designated to bring ‘adventure/driving experience’, as Mahindra puts it, to a larger audience.
The Mahindra Spice Challenge (4 days), the Monsoon Challenge (3 days), the TSD (time-speed-distance) rallies will continue to add a competitive edge to the calendar and offer a chance to newbies to test the waters in the sport of rallying.
Batches will continue to be held every month, at the Mahindra Off-Road Training Academy in Igatpuri, covering everything from basics of off-roading to providing hands-on experience to off-road enthusiasts with advanced technical skills.
Speaking on the occasion, Vivek Nayer, Chief Marketing Officer, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd said, “After the successful run of Mahindra Adventure Season 4, we are all geared up to unleash a series of Adventure initiatives throughout the year that promises even more thrills for the adrenaline seeker. "
“With a new multi-day escape, Super South Escape and 2 new Great Escape locations — Nagpur and Chennai — being added to this year’s calendar, we are now expanding into unchartered territories, thereby covering all zones of the country”, he added.
