Renault has launched the Kwid 1.0 in India with prices starting at Rs 3.82 lakh for the RxT trim, going upto Rs 3.95 lakh for the airbag-equipped RxT (O) variant. The Kwid 1.0 comes with a 999cc 68hp petrol motor mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. This enginedelivers a claimed 23.01kpl, while the 800cc motor is good for 25.17kpl.

  • Touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, USB, Bluetooth audio streaming and aux-in
  • Front speakers (2)
  • 12V power socket
  • Remote keyless entry with central locking
  • Front power windows
  • Dual-tone dashboard
  • Foldable backrest
  • Rear parcel tray
  • Front fog lamps
  • Passenger side ORVMs
  • Body-colour bumpers

Initially, the Kwid 1.0-litre will be available only with a manual gearbox. The AMT-gearbox-equipped version is likely to join at a later stage. The car rivals the likes of the Alto K10 and the Eon 1.0.
