Range Rover Sport SVR.

Jaguar Land Rover's Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) division will make more specially created models, the company has said. They are already in the process of conceptualising and creating these models.

Headed by former Land Rover boss John Edwards, the 500-employee SVO division has four main areas of expertise – special vehicles, personalisation, heritage and branded goods. This special vehicles work will continue to deliver halo derivatives like the recent range c.

Speaking to our sister publication Autocar UK, Edwards explained that special vehicles will be sub-divided into luxury, performance and all-terrain offerings. The last of these, he said, would include special run-out editions of the Defender next year.

It is also likely that the SVO division will, in the near future, tweak models offered by the Jaguar brand to offer extreme off-road or high-powered diesel iterations.
