Jaguar Land Rover is set to celebrate six decades of automotive innovation with a display of vehicles representing the best of British engineering at the Coronation Festival.

JLR will showcase vehicles which highlight its technological and innovative prowess with the Jaguar C-X75 Hybrid Supercar Prototype taking centre stage in the gardens of Buckingham Palace.

The C-X75 is a hybrid supercar with emissions claimed to be as low as city car. The technologies used in the development of C-X75 prototypes will be utilised in other areas of research and development, innovative future products and next-generation engineering for the Jaguar and Land Rover brands.

The F-type and the all-new Range Rover – both of which showcase the carmaker’s use of lightweight aluminium in chassis construction – will also be on display at the festival.

Highlighting Jaguar and Land Rover’s rich lineage will be a specially selected collection of heritage vehicles that have been in service to the British royal family for six decades. Among them are the 1953 Land Rover which was part of a fleet which accompanied the queen and the Duke of Edinburgh on a six month Commonwealth tour soon after the coronation, and a 1955 Jaguar Mark VIIM saloon used by Queen Elizabeth from 1955 until 1973.

The Coronation festival takes place in the gardens of Buckingham Palace from 11th – 14th July as a celebration of innovation, excellence and industry through trade and craft.
