JBL has launched a plug and play aftermarket car audio system called Autostage. Starting at a price of Rs 29,990, the system claims to provide customised audio solutions for cars of any make.

JBL Autostage provides an option for car owners to upgrade their audio system without much installation hassles and also by limiting the costs. There are two packages to choose from, the Carstage and the Sportstage. The Carstage is a 2000W setup tailored for hatchbacks and sedans, while the Sportstage is a 3000W setup for large MPVs and SUVs. Both setups include two front speakers, two rear speakers, two tweeters, and an amplifier of varying outputs. The Sportstage retails at Rs 34,990.

Now, because this JBL system is a plug and play setup, it doesn't require any tampering with the existing electricals, thus it doesn't void the car's warranty. Connectors have been custom-made to fit the audio head provided by majority carmakers, and the amplifier is claimed to be extremely energy-efficient that does not tax the battery much.

With this new system, JBL hopes to cash in on buyers who look for an upgrade over their factory-fitted audio system, but are held back by warranty terms and conditions. Furthermore, to make the product more accessible to customers, JBL has collaborated with all major banks to offer EMI schemes. The JBL Autostage is available at new car showrooms and aftermarket dealers.
