Jaguar has launched the XF Aero Sport edition at Rs 52 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The Jaguar XF Aero Sport edition gets a rear spoiler, R-style side sills, a unique front bumper and a blackened grille with chrome surrounds. The standard Jaguar XF sedan comes with a chrome grille.

Like all other variants of the XF sedan, Jaguar will assemble the XF Aero Sport edition in India at its Pune plant. The XF Aero Sport edition is based on the XF diesel that comes with a 2.2-litre engine which is good for 188bhp. Standard transmission here is an eight-speed automatic unit. Four exterior shades are on offer — Odyssey Red, Sapphire Blue, Ultimate Black and Polaris White.

Jaguar also sells the XF with a 2.0-litre petrol motor as well as a 3.0-litre V6 diesel. The Jaguar XF range in India competes with the likes of the Mercedes E-class, BMW 5-series and Audi A6. The British carmaker has already unveiled the new XF sedan internationally, and the car has been seen testing in India.
