    GM India to export Chevrolet Beat to Chile

    Chevrolet Beat.

    General Motors will start production of Chevrolet Beat with left-hand drive at its Talegaon plant in the second half of 2014, the carmaker has announced. These Chevrolet Beat units will one of the many cars that General Motors plans to export into Chile. GM will start exporting the Beat to Chile in the first quarter of 2015. 
     
    “The start of Beat exports underlines GM’s commitment to India and demonstrates the quality of the country’s growing supplier base,” said GM India President and Managing Director Arvind Saxena. “The exports will create more employment opportunities within GM India and the supplier community while helping improve capacity utilization at the Talegaon Plant,” he added.   
     
    Available with CNG and diesel engines, the Chevrolet Beat is GM India’s best-selling model.
