Ford has announced that all its dealerships across the country will start accepting bookings for the Figo Aspire from July 27. The booking amount for the compact sedan has been set at Rs 30,000.

The Ford Figo Aspire compact sedan will be available with a choice of three engines – a 86.8bhp 1.2 petrol, a 98.6bhp 1.5 diesel and a 110.5bhp 1.5 petrol. The 1.2 petrol and 1.5 diesel will only be offered with a five-speed manual gearbox while the larger 1.5-litre petrol engine will be mated to a six-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox as standard.

The compact sedan will be available in four trim levels – Ambiente, Trend, Titanium and Titanium+. All trim levels will get dual airbags as standard, which is a segment first. The top-trim Titanium+ will get features such as leather upholstery, Ford's SYNC infotainment system and six airbags. The 1.5-litre petrol engine will only be available on the Titanium trim.

The Aspire will be available in seven paint shades — Ruby Red, Sparkling Gold, Oxford White, Tuxedo Black, Deep Impact Blue, Ingot Silver and Smoke Grey.

When launched, the Figo Aspire will rival the likes of the Maruti Dzire, Honda Amaze, Hyundai Xcent and the Tata Zest, in this segment.
