Fiat revealed the Aegea sedan concept at the Istanbul motor show in May 2015, and it was said that the concept would undergo a name change prior to its launch in international markets. In October, the name of the concept was officially changed to Egea or Tipo, as per the market.

The Egea is already on sale in international markets, and Fiat appears to be working on a hotter version of the sedan. As per patent images leaked on the internet, this version of the Egea seems to come with styling changes on the exterior. These tweaks include more aggressive-looking bumpers, new side skirts, red-finished grille slats, colour-contrast roof and wing mirrors, and black body graphics along the flanks and on the hood. The rear bumper also gets a diffuser finish with integrated dual exhausts.

Visible in the images are graphics on the flanks reading '356 S', which could be a hint at the possibility of the model being called 'Egea S', where 356 represents the standard car’s codename.

There are no details about the engines yet though it could get more powerful versions of the existing petrol engines already in service on the standard car.
