Isuzu D-Max.

Isuzu Motors has launched its second offering in India, the D-Max pick-up truck, from Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The company is offering the D-Max in three variants – a single-cab, flat deck version, a space cab, flat deck version, and the more consumer-oriented 'Arched deck space cab version .

Being a purely utility vehicles, the basic flat deck modles don't offer too many creature comforts or features. However, the top arched deck version does have chrome garnish on the grille, body-coloured bumpers and door handles, power windows, central locking, steering rake adjust, air-conditioning and a day-night rear-view mirror, among other features. While the entry-level variants use a more basic flat bed at the back for storage, the top trim is available only as a 'arched deck', which means the wheel arches intrude into the cargo area. There are only two doors and two seats on all versions, but the 'space cab' variants get additional space behind the seats.
