We’ve got our hands on new spy pictures of Chevrolet’s Enjoy MPV, sent to us by alert reader Suraj Jhadav. The MPV was spotted testing in Pune. The MPV in the picture is the top-end LT variant that is expected get beige interiors and alloy wheels.

We expect GM to launch the Enjoy by the end of the year with both diesel and petrol engine options. The petrol motor will be a 94.6bhp 1.4-litre unit and the diesel will be an evolution of the 1.3-litre Fiat-sourced Multijet engine. This version is likely to use a fixed-geometry turbocharger (FGT) and will be rear-wheel driven.

The Enjoy will be more spacious than the Maruti Ertiga; it will offer a lot more storage space too, since the second- and third-row seats of the seven-seater can be folded flat or removed altogether. GM is targeting a price similar to the Ertiga’s, so there should be pretty tough competition in the MPV space once it is launched.

The Enjoy is actually a Chevrolet-badged Wuling CN-100, part of GM-SAIC’s Chinese portfolio. It has been restyled at GM’s Bangalore styling studio and now sports contemporary looks. There is no Chevy-typical split grille up front but the fused headlight and grille section has been neatly designed. The kinked headlights form the origin of the rising waistline, adding some flair to the sides.

Other products from the GM-SAIC stable coming to India are the Sail hatchback and saloon.
