Chevrolet has announced that it will hike the prices of its entire line-up with effect from the first week of June. The hike in prices is to counter the increasing transportation costs owing to the rising diesel prices.
P Balendran, vice president, GM India, said, “We have decided to increase the prices of all our vehicles up to Rs 10,000, depending upon the model, with effect from the first week of June on account of increase in transportation costs/logistics due to hike in diesel price. In percentage terms, the increase goes up to 1.5 percent depending on the model.”
The price hike will affect all Chevrolet models in India, namely the Spark, Beat, Sail hatchback and saloon, the recently launched Enjoy, Tavera, Cruze and Captiva.
