Chevrolet has launched the diesel version of its Beat hatchback.
The base PS version starts at Rs 4.29 lakh, and the next variant, LS, is priced at Rs 4.59 lakh. The LT is priced at Rs 4.99 lakh and the top-end LT with option pack is priced at Rs 5.45 lakh.
In comparison, the Ford Figo diesel starts at Rs 4.58 lakh for the base variant. The EXI is priced at Rs 4.93 lakh while the ZXI costs Rs 5.17 lakh, and the top-end Titanium costs Rs 5.49 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom Delhi.
The Beat diesel is powered by a 1.0XSDE Smartech engine. It is a three-cylinder version of the famous Multijet diesel unit that was co-developed by GM and Fiat.
