Rajesh Nellore, Peugeot India's chief, has been moved out of the country to another assignment. His place has been taken by M Frederic Fabre who will now spearhead the company’s India strategy. Autocar India has also learnt that Avik Chattopadhyay, who was with Maruti Suzuki earlier, has moved to Peugeot India as its head of product planning.

The French carmaker is scouting for a location for its factory; the two States in the shortlist are Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. Peugeot has already said it will launch a saloon in India. The vehicle is being developed at Peugeot’s Vigo plant in Spain and is expected to debut in 2012.
