The BMW X3 SUV has been given an update and the car will be launched internationally in June 2014.

While the new BMW X3 does get some cosmetic changes, importantly, it comes with a range of the latest generation of the carmaker's turbodiesel engines which now churn out more power and sip fuel more economically.

On the outside, the new BMW X3 gets sleeker headlights, a new surround for the kidney grille and reworked front and rear bumpers. On the inside, there's additional chrome detailing, a revised centre console, new cupholders and a new leather-wrapped steering wheel will now come as standard. It will also come with new choice of colours and new cabin upholstery options. The updated car is also a millimetre longer.

In terms of equipment, the revised X3 gets some new driver assistance features like an uprated navigation system that has an integrated touchpad on the iDrive controller, automatic parking assistant, a heads-up display and a high-beam headlight assistant.

Expect BMW to bring the updated X3 to India soon.
