BMW seems to have a M-powered version of its flagship 7-series sedan under development. Badged M760Li, the images of the sports-limo were leaked via the virtual configurator on BMW’s German website.

The high-performance sedan will be powered by Rolls-Royce-sourced 6.6-litre V12 engine that churns more than 600bhp. A slightly less powerful version of the engine will make its way into a more luxury-centric 760Li. The V12 engine will only be available in the long wheelbase version of the 7-series.

Both engines will be teamed up with an 8-speed automatic gearbox, while there is no clarification from BMW on whether the cars will feature the xDrive All-Wheel-Drive, or will be rear-wheel driven.

The M Sport Packages, along with ferric grey accents on the exteriors differentiate the regular 760Li from its more powerful sibling. The cars are expected to be launched internationally towards the end of 2016.
