Big discounts and benefits on Toyota cars, SUVs this month

Avail discounts and benefits up to Rs 45,000 on the Toyota Fortuner this month.

In a bid to push sales before the end of the financial year, Toyota dealerships in India are offering attractive benefits on its made-in-India line-up, which comprise the Innova Crysta MPV, Fortuner SUV, Etios, Yaris and Corolla Altis sedans and the Etios Liva hatchback. However, dealers have not announced discounts for models that Toyota brings in as CBUs (completely built units), such as the Camry hybrid, Prius, Land Cruiser Prado and Land Cruiser.

    Toyota Yaris

Save up to Rs 1.35 lakh
Toyota’s answer to the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Hyundai Verna and Honda City scores high on safety kit and ride comfort, and comes with the reliability associated with every model from the Japanese brand. The Toyota Yaris comes with just a 107hp, 1.5-lityre petrol engine, though it does have manual and CVT gearbox options. Dealers are offering a whopping Rs 1.35 lakh discount on 2018 models of the mid-size sedan, while even newer model made in 2019 can be bought with benefits up to Rs 50,000.

    Toyota Corolla Altis

Save up to Rs 1.3 lakh
The 2017 Toyota Corolla Altis facelift has added to the executive sedan’s visual appeal, and the model retains qualities like rear-seat comfort (thanks to the reclining backrest), which makes it seem like it is built for the chauffeur-driven. The 88hp, 1.4-litre diesel engine is lacking in power and isn't all that refined either. The 140hp, 1.8-litre petrol is better than its diesel counterpart but still not class-leading. The Corolla Altis has a new rival in the form of the recently launch Honda Civic, and continues to vie with the Skoda Octavia and Hyundai Elantra in this segment. Dealers are offering discounts and benefits totalling Rs 1.3 lakh on the model during this month.

    Toyota Innova Crysta

    Save up to Rs 60,000
The popular people mover form the Japanese brand, the Toyota Innova Crysta, can now be bought with benefits up to Rs 60,000. The MPV, which is available with a 166hp, 2.7-litre petrol engine, a 150hp, 2.4-litre diesel motor and a 174hp, 2.8-litre diesel mill, is rather nice on the inside and is decidedly more upmarket than lower-priced rivals like the Mahindra Marazzo and the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga.

    Toyota Etios

    Save up to Rs 55,000
While the Toyota Etios may suffer from its fleet/taxi image, it nonetheless  boasts a spacious cabin and 592-litre massive boot, along with a peppy 90hp, 1.5-litre petrol engine; the 68hp, 1.4-litre diesel motor works well in town but runs out of steam on the highway. Potential buyers can now avail benefits of up to Rs 55,000 on Toyota’s entry-level mid-size sedan.

    Toyota Fortuner

    Save up to Rs 45,000
It’s big, seats seven quite comfortably and comes with a tractable 177hp, 2.8-litre diesel motor with the option of four-wheel-drive. The Toyota Fortuner, which rivals the likes of the Ford Endeavour, Isuzu MU-X and Mahindra Alturas G4, also comes with a 166hp, 2.7-litre petrol motor. Select Toyota dealerships are now offering Rs 45,000 worth of benefits on Toyota’s ladder-frame SUV.

    Toyota Etios Liva

    Save up to Rs 35,000
The Toyota Etios Liva has been on sale more or less unchanged since 2016, but it still boasts an impressive safety rating (it achieved four-stars in Global NCAP’s crash tests late last year) and a spacious cabin. Besides that, the Etios Liva hatchback is a car meant as an urban runabout; both the 80hp, 1.2-litre petrol and the 68hp, 1.4-litre diesel run out of punch on the highway. There are benefits of up to Rs 35,000 that can be availed on the Toyota hatchback.
