MG Majestor: All you need to know
2.0L diesel engine borrowed from Gloster makes 215hp and 478.5Nm
The MG Majestor borrows a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine from the higher-spec variants of the Gloster, which produces 215hp and 478.5Nm. It is mated to an 8-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox and offers a four-wheel-drive (4WD) setup with low range.
The Majestor is equipped with three locking differentials and multiple driving modes: Snow, Rock, Sand, Mud and Normal.
Gets all-LED lighting setup, 19-inch alloys and sidesteps on both sides
The MG Majestor has a boxy design and an imposing stance. At the front, it features a large grille with gloss-black elements, vertically stacked LED headlights and sleek eyebrow-shaped LED daytime running lamps (DRLs). The front bumper also gets rugged cladding on the lower section along with a silver skid plate.
The cladding from the front bumper continues around the wheel arches and along the lower section of the doors. The Majestor rides on 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and comes with side steps on both sides. At the rear, it gets connected LED tail-lights with Morris Garages lettering positioned above. The rear bumper also features black cladding and has exhaust tips on both sides, giving the SUV a more aggressive look.
Feature-loaded with amenities like dual screens, panoramic sunroof and more
The MG Majestor has a black cabin accented with silver trims for contrast. The dashboard features a 3-spoke steering wheel and dual 12.4-inch displays (one for the infotainment system and the other for the instrument cluster). The SUV is available in 6- and 7-seat configurations, with leatherette upholstery offered as standard.
Other niceties include a panoramic sunroof, a 12-speaker JBL Studio sound system, a powered tailgate, 3-zone climate control, a 220V power outlet for rear-seat passengers and dual wireless phone chargers. It is also equipped with a 12-way powered driver’s seat with a memory function linked to the outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs), an 8-way powered co-driver’s seat, ventilation and massage functions for the front seats and 64-colour ambient lighting.
On the safety front, the Majestor offers 6 airbags as standard, Level 2 ADAS (advanced driver assistance systems), a 360-degree camera, an auto-dimming inside rearview mirror (IRVM), hill-hold and hill-descent controls, a tyre-pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and an electronic parking brake.
