The updates to the interior are just as comprehensive as the exterior updates.

After previewing the exterior design of the new Tiago a couple of days ago, Tata Motors has now revealed the interior of the updated hatchback. The updates on the inside are just as comprehensive as on the outside, bringing an all-new dashboard design and new features, too. Ahead of its launch on May 28, let’s take a closer look at the interior of the 2026 Tata Tiago

  1. New floating infotainment screen and instrument cluster
  2. New features include two wireless charging pads, 360-degree camera
  3. Also gets new dual-tone fabric upholstery

New Tata Tiago interior: what’s new?

It’s unusual to see such a comprehensive interior makeover with facelifts, but Tata Motors has done a good job of giving the Tiago a much more modern cabin with this update. The biggest highlights are the two free-floating screens for the infotainment system and instrument cluster. While the main infotainment screen seems largely unchanged, the new digital instrument cluster is a welcome upgrade over the archaic LCD screen in the outgoing Tiago.

The floating screens have also brought about a complete redesign of the dashboard itself. It now has a layered design as opposed to the swooping dashboard with the integrated infotainment screen and instrument cluster on the pre-facelift model. It also gets new door pads, a front center armrest, new dual-tone black and grey fabric upholstery and also a redesigned center console with two wireless charging pads finished in gloss black. This has, however, eliminated the storage area that was available on the pre-facelift model. It also misses out a rear center armrest and adjustable headrests.

Also new are the AC vents and a new floating panel housing the AC controls. The HVAC switchgear, however, has been carried forward unchanged, as has been the two-spoke steering wheel.

Do note this is the interior of the ICE-powered Tiago; the Tiago EV’s interior can be expected to be largely similar save for some EV-specific bits.

New Tata Tiago exterior design

To give you a quick recap about the exterior design, the updated Tiago will have new front and rear bumpers, new LED headlamps and tail lamps with contrasting connecting bands and new alloy wheels. The updates are mostly to the soft parts, but it still brings about a notable makeover, lending the Tiago a far more modern and up-to-date look.

Mechanically, though, the Tiago is expected to remain unchanged. Therefore, the 86hp 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 75.5hp CNG version, both of which gets a choice of a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT, are expected to continue as is. The Tiago EV, however, could benefit from larger battery packs and thereby more range.

With the facelift, the Tiago’s prices could increase slightly over the outgoing model, which currently ranges between Rs 4.60 lakh and Rs 7.68 lakh (ex-showroom). The Tiago facelift will continue to lock horns with the Maruti CelerioMaruti Wagon R and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios.
