Norton Manx R

Norton Manx R is a 1200cc superbike powered by a V4 engine that will be fully assembled in India. This E20-compliant bike will compete with litre-class performance motorcycles such as the Ducati Panigale V4 and BMW S 1000 RR. While the Ducati produces the highest power of the three at 216hp, the Manx R is expected to produce the highest torque at 130Nm. Its 14.5-litre fuel tank will be smaller than those of its rivals and riders need to plan their rides as the bike lacks a fuel gauge.

The engine is expected to feature titanium intake valves, independently controlled throttle bodies for the front and rear cylinder banks, and rear-cylinder deactivation at speeds below 5kph. For easier and quicker maintenance, the bike will also get a cassette-style gearbox, a setup more commonly found on racing bikes. Norton has launched a one-off version of Manx R to add a touch of fresh colour in the lineup. This will have an asymmetrical finish with shades of metallic pink, deep purple and light grey without any mechanical changes to the bike.
