Late last year, the TVS-backed Norton brand was officially revived with the unveiling of four new models set to define its next chapter. Leading that line-up is the flagship Manx R superbike, details of which have been gradually revealed over the past few months. The manufacturer has now confirmed full specifications, along with variant-wise pricing for the UK market.

  1. 1,200cc V4 engine produces 206hp and 130Nm
  2. Will be available in four variants
  3. India launch expected soon

Norton Manx R price and details

The Norton Manx R First Edition will be limited to 150 units

As reported earlier, the Manx R is powered by an all-new 1,200cc, 72-degree V4 engine producing 206hp at 11,500rpm and 130Nm at 9,000rpm. This engine is common across all four variants – Standard, Apex, Signature, and the limited-run First Edition.

The electronics package is also shared, featuring an 8-inch TFT display and a six-axis IMU that manages traction control, wheelie control, slide control, and multiple riding modes. Braking hardware, comprising Brembo Hypure calipers, also remains identical across the range.

Where the variants differ is in the suspension and wheel specifications. All four versions use fully adjustable Marzocchi suspension with a USD front fork and a rear monoshock. However, the base model offers only manual adjustment, while the Apex, Signature and First Edition get electronically adjustable, semi-active suspension.

Wheel options vary as well. The standard Manx R gets cast aluminium wheels, while the Apex features lighter OZ Racing forged aluminium units. The Signature and First Edition are equipped with Rotobox Bullet Pro carbon-fibre wheels. All variants run on Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V4 tyres, sized 120/70-ZR17 at the front and 200/55-ZR17 at the rear.

These differences also impact weight. Norton claims a wet weight (without fuel) of 210kg for the base model, 207kg for the Apex, 203kg for the Signature and 201kg for the First Edition.

In the UK, the base Manx R is priced at £20,250 (approximately Rs 26.03 lakh), while the Apex costs £24,750 (Rs 31.80 lakh). The Signature sees a significant jump to £38,750 (Rs 49.77 lakh). Pricing for the First Edition – limited to 150 units and featuring titanium and billet aluminium components, unique paint schemes, a numbered top yoke and a special start-up sequence – has not yet been disclosed.

While there’s no confirmation on which variants will make it to India, the Manx R’s design has already been patented here, and the bike is expected to launch in the coming months.
