The Kawasaki Ninja 650 received a sharper and more aggressive design update, making it look closer to the larger Ninja models. The twin-LED headlamps, redesigned front fairing and sporty graphics enhance its visual appeal. It also gets a 4.3-inch TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, while the overall fit and finish remains premium.

The Ninja 650 offers one of the most comfortable riding positions in the middleweight sportbike segment. Its 790mm seat height, raised clip-on handlebars and relaxed footpeg position make it easy to ride for both beginners and experienced riders. The suspension provides a plush ride over rough roads, although the low ground clearance requires caution over tall speed breakers.

The 649cc parallel-twin engine delivers strong low- and mid-range performance with smooth throttle response and a flexible powerband. The slick 6-speed gearbox and refined engine make it enjoyable for both city rides and highway touring. While the engine offers good performance, it lacks the exciting exhaust note and character of some rivals, with mild vibrations appearing at higher revs.

The steel trellis frame gives the Ninja 650 predictable and confidence-inspiring handling. It remains stable at highway speeds and is easy to ride through corners. However, the soft suspension setup limits aggressive cornering, and the rear suspension may feel unsettled over mid-corner bumps if not properly adjusted.

The Ninja 650 comes equipped with a TFT display featuring Bluetooth connectivity, full-LED lighting, slipper clutch and dual-channel ABS. The feature list complements its practical and beginner-friendly nature.
7
The Kawasaki Ninja 650 is a well-rounded middleweight sportbike that combines comfortable ergonomics, smooth performance and dependable reliability. While it is not the most exciting motorcycle in its class, its versatility and ease of use make it an excellent choice for riders upgrading to a bigger bike.
