The new Scooty Zest is completely redesigned with fresh styling cues. Its headlight is familiar, with flush-fitted chic indicators on a two-tone front apron, boldly showing off a TVS logo in black. The instrument cluster is finished in white, placed attractively with a legible speedometer, an odometer and fuel gauge. A solitary bag hook is placed under the handlebar and saddle, which shows off white stitching for a more upmarket feel. The Zest gets side body panels with revised accents, along with a fancy rear end showing off a new LED tail-light and indicator setup that blends very well with the scooter's aesthetics.
The Scooty Zest is powered by a four-stroke, 109.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled and carbureted engine, expected to churn out approximately 8bhp, transferred to the rear wheel through a TVS’ CVTI system. The Zest comes with an electric as well as a kick starter.

The saddle is now longer and wider, with a stylish and handy alloy grab rail, and the front flatboard is broader than earlier. The front suspension uses telescopic forks, and the rear gets a monoshock with the engine doubling up as a stressed member of the frame. The 90/80 10-inch tyres sit on steel wheels, in comparison to the 3.00x10-inch tyres on the earlier Scooty.

Its refreshed styling and powerplant mean the new Scooty Zest should provide users a better overall package. The new Scooty Zest is expected to hit showrooms by April 2014, at an estimated price of around Rs 47,500.

The Suzuki Inazuma comes with a 248cc liquid-coold engine.

Acceleration is quick enough for a 250 twin, though don’t expect the Suzuki Inazuma to be ahead of the pack at the local drag meet day

A scaled down B-King in some ways, the Inazuma rides on a set of somewhat dated looking three-spoke alloy wheels.

The Inazuma runs telescopic front forks and a hydraulic monoshock at the rear, separated by quite a long wheelbase, 1430mm.
