VinFast electric scooters

Vietnamese automaker Vinfast, which entered the Indian market with two cars in September 2025, now plans to bring some of its electric scooters here.

  1. Vinfast could launch electric scooters in India towards the end of 2026
  2. The company currently offers the VF7 and VF6 electric cars in India

Vinfast is currently conducting research on which electric scooters to introduce in India, and a launch, if it happens, can be expected towards the end of 2026. After the brand decides which models to bring to our market, it will need to test them under Indian conditions, and that should take some time.

The brand gave us a glimpse at six of its scooters on offer in Vietnam. These are the Feliz, Klara Neo, Theon S, Vero X, Vento S and Evo Grand. Currently, the specifications of these scooters are available on the Vinfast Vietnam website, but there is no word on which of these will make their way to our market.

Vinfast had announced its plans to invest $2 billion (approximately Rs 16,000 crore) in India. Of this, $500 million has been pumped into setting up a production plant at Thoothukudi in Tamil Nadu, which has an annual capacity of 50,000 electric cars, expandable to 1,50,000.
